Commissioning

Installation completed, system in place - but is it running? Commissioning is the moment when it becomes clear whether the planning, design and installation fit together. This is where it is decided whether a system just works or really performs.

At GPI, commissioning is not a downstream step, but an integral part of every project. Our technicians know the system from design and assembly - they know how every part should work. This knowledge makes all the difference: faster troubleshooting, more precise settings, fewer start-up problems.

We stay until the system is running in series production. This means: functional tests, running in the processes, optimising cycle times and training your staff. You take over a system that is ready for production - not a construction site that still needs to be completed.

Depending on the project requirements, we take on, among other things

Function tests and adjustment

• Testing of all mechanical components
• Adjustment of drives, sensors and actuators
• Testing the safety equipment
• Review of the control logic

Run-in operation

• Step-by-step commissioning of the system components
• Run-in with test loads and sample workpieces
• Optimisation of speeds and cycle times
• Fine tuning of the transfer points

Acceptance and documentation

• Carrying out acceptance tests according to specification
• Logging of all tests and results
• Handover of the documentation
• Official approvals and certifications

Training and handover

• Instruction of the operating personnel
• Training for maintenance and simple troubleshooting
• Handover to ongoing operations
• Contact person during the start-up phase
